We’re a sustainable architecture firm focused on designing healthy, active, and energy-efficient spaces that stand the test of time.
A home should do more than just provide shelter — it should nurture your wellbeing, work in harmony with the natural environment, and contribute to a more sustainable future. That’s why our focus goes beyond design to the final build, ensuring that every project benefits from cost-effective and sustainable solutions, today and for years to come.
Our team has decades of experience in commercial, residential, and public architecture, using old and contemporary design principles to bring your project to life. We work across Ballarat, Geelong, outer Melbourne, and the Central Highlands region as well as virtually in Tasmania, specialising in cold-climate design.
We’re driven by a shared purpose of creating designs that have a lasting positive impact on both your life and our planet.
Matthew has over two decades of experience in architecture, working across Sydney, Melbourne, and the Ballarat region. From early on in his architectural studies, Matt had an interest in alternative building methods and vernacular design. This inspired him to study in the UK and explore life and design across Southeast Asia, India, and Europe, seeking to understand how and why different cultures shape their buildings to suit their climate and available materials.
With these learnings, Matt founded Enduring Domain in 2013 to offer an architecture service that prioritises environmentally sustainable design. This has allowed Matt to continue to research and develop better ways of living a more harmonious lifestyle with the natural world around us.
To balance the demands of running an architectural studio, Matt often cycles and hikes to places that give him new perspectives and inspiration.
